Evreux today celebrating St. Laudulphe, the bishop of the late sixth century (after 585). He discovered the body of St. Taurin, its predecessor (the Invention is celebrated on September 5), and then built a basilica in honor of St. Martin, who would eventually become the Abbey of Saint-Taurin d'Evreux . Saint Laudulphe there is always, in the shrine of St. Taurin we are all invited to go worship! As his example, we know around us revive the devotion to the Apostle the Évrecin.
In venerating the Feast of the Holy Pontiff Laudulphe, we beseech God to grant us his example to us to fulfill faithfully what you always pleasant. (Collect of the Mass of St. Laudulphe)
