We celebrate today the feast of St. Aquilin, successor of St. Eterne as bishop of Evreux, 673-695 . Born about 620 in Bayeux, soldier and officer in Clovis II, he retired into solitude, but was "rediscovered" by Ebroïciens who made him their pastor. The Holy Angels Bulletin No. 21 we spoke of him in the record devoted to St. Leufroy. Bishop Didier succeeded him. Pacy adjoining the village is dedicated to him. It also sponsors his episcopal city in a church (destroyed in the twentieth century and replaced by a Protestant) and a breakfast seminar. Aquilin Saint, pray for your diocese and for vocations!
